Shuffleboard Rules Summary

NUMBER OF PLAYERS
Corporate Shuffleboard is played with four people on each team.

DURATION
Each game shall be of 25 minutes duration. The number of ends in each game depends on the speed of play.

COURT SIZE & EQUIPMENT
Each team has four discs(150mm) and two 1.8 metre cues.
The discs are pushed over an 8 metre court, 1.5 metres wide.

HOW TO PLAY
Toss a coin to decide which team is to start the game.

A member of the starting team shall push his disc with his cue from behind the score grid and complete his push before the end of the score grid.

Each team and player then plays their discs in turn.

It is legitimate and often desirable to cause discs to knock into each other thus changing the position of one's own discs for the better or opponent's discs for the worse.

If a disc fails to pass the far distance line it is removed from the court. Any disc that tips off the edge of the court is also immediately removed from play.

A disc only scores if it is entirely within the numbered area not touching any lines.

A match is won by the team that is ahead after time has expired.

GAME FORMAT
In each team players will be known as:
Player A
Player B
Player C
Player D

Each end is played as doubles:
A + B vs A + B
C + D vs C + D
A + D vs A + D
B + C vs B + C
A + C vs A + C
B + D vs B + D

Repeat the format if needed until the time has expired.
Each Player will have two discs per end.
