Tenpin Bowling Rules Summary

NUMBER OF PLAYERS
Corporate tenpin bowling is played with 4 players on each team.

Mixed teams must have at least two women .

DURATION
Each team will bowl two games.

GAME FORMAT
Each bowler takes their turn to bowl a frame (two balls, unless a strike is bowled) then the next bowler bowls the next frame and so on for each bowler in turn.

Your team will share two lanes with a another team, each alternating between the two lanes each frame is bowled. Just check the screen arrows pointing to the lane you bowl in.

Once the first game is finished press the button on the screen to start the next game. Watch for the screen arrows for your first lane.

Teams should be ready to start on time and play promptly to complete your games within the half hour time period.

Teams will be given the opportunity to have a short practice session before their game, all teams start at the same time. Allow yourself time to collect your shoes before you start.

SCORING
Scores will be recorded automatically on the electronic score board at your lane as you bowl. Do not enter any data on to your screen.

The event will have a handicap and highest score competition for both mixed, male and female divisions.

Handicaps will be set after week two and will be adjusted again to score your first four games. The first two weeks will be scored after the final week using your final handicap.

Rule - If a team is short a player for a game, 20% may be deducted from the team score. (This is to stop teams only playing their best bowlers).

Scores will be posted at the venue each week.
